We have therefore established an Independent Investment Committee (IIC), made up of experts with a long history of governance in managed investments. As the name suggests, the majority of IIC members are independent from the Fund and the Manager, meaning that they have no conflicts of interest, and their role is governed by the IIC Charter.
In accordance with the IIC Charter, the IIC is responsible for endorsing the investment strategy, reviewing property acquisitions against the approved investment strategy, and ensuring that the Manager maintains robust acquisition process at all times. In addition, any financial arrangements between ResiFund and related parties of the Manager, such as OpenCorp Property Management, must be approved by the IIC and reviewed annually to ensure that they are made on arms-length terms with fair market rates.
